This publication tells the story of a project, a commission received by Josep Llinás for the rehabilitation of Building 406 on the Bogotá Campus of the National University of Colombia, for which his previous research on the Mañach de Jujol house will be essential.
The book takes a visual look at the author’s methodology, which he defines as “copying from what can be seen,” through which he constructs the forms and which he gradually captures in successive project development reports in what constitutes a novel way of approaching the investigation of a project in its different phases.
This is very useful source material for any student or architect, as it provides an explanation of the design process that allows complex shapes to be generated. By presenting each of the phases in a sequential manner, it is possible to understand how this type of architecture takes shape and the essential interaction between the models and the drawings.
