SAM 08: Here and the World

The architects selected for this issue have taken a stand against the globalised process of architectural production while driving a new regional architecture that draws on a variety of local forms and materials that have frequently been forgotten. Here, short surveys of ten buildings by a diverse collection of architects, including 2B Architectes, Brauen+Wälchli, Tectoniques and Dominique Vigier, are featured, and accompanied by short explanatory texts, an essay and interview. Each building is examined through colour photographs along with plans, elevations, models and a short text. An English translation is included in the back of the magazine.
